Looking for an enthusiastic corporate finance strategic specialist for a fast-growing tech services company.

Your new company

An exciting, commercially focused and known to be one of the iconic known local professional media technology and data services start-up and recognized within multiple regions in the financial institutions and commercial markets, with a head office in Kuala Lumpur. If you think you are exceptional in corporate strategy and finance; and enthusiastic to grow within a fast growing start-up in a management team made from some of the most recognized executive directors in the industry, high chance you could be the one we are looking for!

Your new role

  • External

    • To help CEO in developing, follow-up/maintain relationships with global financial institutions and data providers
    • To prepare proposals for potential clients and develop commercial packages and plans
    • Investor relations
    • Providing consultative sales and potentially support business development activities

  • Internal

    • Develop and update financial/ROI model
    • Keeping track of KPIs and project status
    • Cascading user requirements and feedback to product team

    What you’ll need to succeed

    • 4+ years of industry experience in strategy development, corporate finance or consulting;
    • Holds a degree in Business / Finance /Economics;
    • Advance Excel and Powerpoint skills;
    • Analytical, with the ability to plan and develop commercial/financial /valuation/ROI models
    • Having experience authoring papers and presentation, especially to top management
    • Experience working with a diverse cultural/background team;
    • Having an objective, discipline and rationale mindset;
    • Must be a self-starter, takes initiative and highly independent;
    • Good command of English with strong communication skills.
    • Extroverted personality
    • Ideally understanding Agile methodology and usage of kanban boards
    • Bonus: Someone completed or in process of CFA certifications
    • Bonus: Willingness to learn how to write user stories for product development
