Andaman Medical is a young and fast-growing Medical Device Regulatory Affairs & Market Access consultancy. We specialize in the registration, authorized representation, importation, master distribution, quality assurance and compliance of medical device and in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) in Southeast Asia. Our dedicated experts are located in various SEA countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia.
Job Overview
The Chief Financial Officer is a member of the senior leadership team at Andaman Medical and is required to direct and oversee activities and projects related to Finance and other identified departments at Andaman Medical.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Finance Department, budget preparation and audit functions
- Drive the company’s optimal financial planning including forecasts, budget vs actual and adjustments
- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the company’s operations
- Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
- Understand, monitor and ensure legislative/tax compliance across all offices
- Work with and oversee additional key departments and make recommendations
- Perform risk management by analyzing the company’s liabilities and investments
- Supervise senior finance and other relevant department personnel
- Manage financial relationships with clients, vendors and relevant government departments
- Recommend investment strategies considering cash and liquidity risks
- Control and evaluate the company’s revenue and capital structure
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legislation in countries with AM operations
- Conducts analysis to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing or elimination
- Identifies opportunities for expansion or improvement
Qualifications
BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
MSc/MBA is a strong advantage
CPA in associated country/location is a strong advantage
Key Competencies
- Proven minimum of 8 years experience in finance including roles such as CFO, Finance Officer or similar
- In depth knowledge of company financial law and risk management practices
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g Xero)
- Ability to strategies and solve problems
- Strong leadership, people management and organizational skills
- Professional working proficiency in English including written and verbal communication
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
