Position Summary:
Design, support and maintain software-as-a-service (SaaS) and enterprise-wide applications associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of data for internal department planning and activities. Develop MES applications roadmap with CAMSTAR. Interface the MES with other systems (“ERP systems, databases etc”) and devices (“bar code readers, labelers etc”) as needed. Build and maintain the talent and expertise to develop and sustain the demand from multiple stakeholders. Be the key focal point for all MES matters, processes, communication, and escalation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead initiatives to analyze and design MES systems with Camstar/OpCenter to support business’s need.
· Identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications.
· Scale new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner.
· Provide in-depth knowledge and consultation to users.
· Lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues.
· Ensure compliance with existing regulations.
· Communicate laterally and engage others across the organization.
· Participate in activities required to support production, including but not limited to troubleshooting, investigations, MES users support, periodic reviews, root cause analysis, preventive and corrective actions.
· Manage resource allocation in both functional and technical perspective to enable follow-the-sun structure.
· Able to see the big picture and develop talent, resource, and roadmap with a global mindset.
· Support inspections and site audits as needed.
· Strong behaviors, which include take ownership, continuous improvement, focus and empower.
· Documentation and validation support as needed.
· Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Experience and Education Requirements:
· Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 10-12 years related experience or Master’s degree and 8-10 years equivalent industry experience.
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing Siemens’ MES system, Camstar / OpCenter v8+, in a regulated environment.
· Experience in manufacturing processes and methodologies.
· Hands-on SQL and PL/SQL experience preferred.
· Excellent written, verbal and team skills
· Proven people management experience in a matrix organization is a strong advantage.
· Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
· Understanding of SDLC and project management skills
· Experience working in cross-functional teams to drive and influence changes and improvements
· Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications:
· Experience with CAMSTAR CIO/MIO is a strong plus.
Travel Required:
· Up to 25%
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
