Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site checks and repair issues raised by internal parties.
- Supervision of contractors (external) and facilities technician (internal), ensuring that all necessary repairs are promptly addressed.
- Ensure contractors comply with safety regulations, codes, and standards, as well as Health & Safety at Work legislation.
- Track and control repair deadlines, ensuring timely completion of repair projects.
- Respond to urgent calls related to Facilities Management requests, prioritizing to minimize downtime.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting of utility systems, equipment, and machinery to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Implement appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurring breakdowns and improve overall electrical system reliability.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and that repairs have been executed correctly.
- Report and recommend buying of critical spares and consumables for various facilities repair and improvement and participate in facilities improvement projects
- Prepare reports and documentation related to repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements:
- Applicant must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position, preferably in a facilities management or industrial setting. Fresh graduates with relevant internships or projects are welcome to apply.
- Preferably experience to be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to fatigue, noise, dust, and be able to access all areas of the property including those at height.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet the demands of the job.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when urgent breakdowns or repairs arise.
