Job Description:

  • Responsible for plan, monitor and liaise with customers, shipping agent, surveyors, and authorities.
  • To ensure all shipping activities comply with the local customs requirements and other government regulations.
  • Responsible for answering inquiries in a prompt and timely manner. To handle all complaints and coordinate with other departments to ensure customer’s requests or issues are resolved within the stipulated time frame.
  • To monitor, coordinate, and plan inventory management, berth scheduling, report writing, and dispute resolution and become a liaison between PTSB and customers, and authorities and to ensure customers’ requirements and company objectives are met.
  • To handle product stock inventory management, physical vs. book stock, and conduct month-end reports.
  • To plan and time release equipment and storage facilities for maintenance or cleaning.
  • To review SOP and WI
  • To provide report analysis of terminal activities with view of continuous improvement.


  • Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric mindset 
  • Capable of multi-task, managing time effectively, and fixing deadlines
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Able to handle fast-moving and high-pressure customer-facing environments.
  • Able to dictate market trends and provide insight analysis


  • Degree in relation to Logistic field or related discipline
  • 3-4 years relevant working experience, particularly in commercial activities or logistic background with basic engineering knowledge
  • Experience in scheduling and planning in transshipment or industrial port or terminal
  • Familiarity with the storage and/or terminal business; and with a good understanding of technical and operational processes, initiatives, and market trends
  • Proactive, clear, and prompt communication within the Customer Service team and external and internal customers. Communication may be happening beyond normal working hours
  • Working knowledge of Government and Authorities requirements and ability to interact with them
  • Detailed, oriented analytical thinking to support budget planning and reporting
