Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a System Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our organization’s information systems and technology infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to analyse, design, and implement innovative solutions to enhance our systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse Business Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for system enhancements or new system implementations.
- Design and Analyst: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, and engineers as business function analysts, to design an efficient, scalable systems and applications that align with business objectives.
- System Integration: Evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities for integration and automation. Develop integration strategies and implement solutions to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between different systems and applications.
- System Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of system implementations. Identify and troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Documentation and Training: Create detailed system documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and process flows. Conduct training sessions and provide support to end-users, ensuring they understand and can effectively utilize the systems and applications.
- System Optimization and Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend and implement optimization strategies. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions that enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers and teams to plan and execute system-related projects. Provide accurate estimates for project timelines and resources required. Monitor progress, identify risks, and take proactive measures to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a System Analyst or similar role, with a solid understanding of system analysis methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency in analysing complex business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
- Strong knowledge of system design principles, software development life cycle (SDLC), agile, and database concepts.
- Experience with system integration, data migration, and API development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Certified Business Analyst Professional, Certified Systems Analyst) are a plus.
