Adecco is current searching for the next Plant Director to be part of a MNC Refinery. Candidates from Palm, Oleochemical, Industrious Chemical, Petrochem are welcome to apply to be considered for this position.
The Plant Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the overall success and profitability of the refinery. As the top executive, you will work closely with the board of directors and senior leadership team to shape the company’s long-term vision and implement strategies to achieve sustainable growth and market leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision and Leadership:
- Develop and articulate a clear vision and mission for the organization, aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
- Lead the executive team in the creation and execution of business strategies to maintain and expand the company’s market share.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in the industry to maintain a competitive advantage.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day refinery operations to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity, and safety standards are met or exceeded.
- Implement best practices for process optimization, cost management, and resource allocation to drive operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the organization
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget, working in collaboration with the CFO and finance team.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze financial reports, and make data-driven decisions to enhance profitability and shareholder value.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government authorities, customers, suppliers, and investors.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, forums, and events to enhance the company’s reputation and market presence.
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Prioritize safety as the top priority throughout the organization, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Champion environmental sustainability initiatives and compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
Talent Development and Team Building:
- Attract, retain, and develop top talent, fostering a high-performing and diverse workforce.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to senior executives, fostering a collaborative and motivated leadership team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the Palm, Oleochemical, Industrious Chemical, Petrochem industry, with a minimum of 5 years at the executive level.
- In-depth knowledge of Palm, Oleochemical, Industrious Chemical, Petrochem refinery operations, industry trends, and regulations.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
