Din Tai Fung is hailed by New York Times as one of the top ten gourmet restaurants in the world and further international recognition came in 2010 when the Hong Kong branch was awarded one Michelin Star. The first Din Tai Fung that opened in 1972 was only a humble stall in Taipei.
