Revolution Aerospace is an Australian aerospace technology company developing advanced systems for autonomous and uncrewed aviation.
Following approximately AUD $5 million of investment in technology development, we are entering our next stage of commercial growth and are seeking an experienced Strategic Marketing & Communications Lead to help position the company for international customers, strategic partners and investors.
This is not primarily a digital marketing, advertising or social-media role.
We are looking for someone who can take sophisticated technology, understand what makes it commercially valuable, and turn it into clear and compelling positioning for customers and investors.
You will work directly with the CEO and technical team and will have significant influence over how the company and its products are presented to the market.
Develop and refine the company's overall positioning, messaging and corporate narrative.
Translate complex aerospace, autonomy, AI and engineering concepts into compelling commercial propositions.
Develop positioning and go-to-market messaging for individual products and technologies.
Create and improve investor presentations, corporate presentations and fundraising materials.
Develop high-quality website content, capability statements, case studies and product collateral.
Turn flight trials, demonstrations, technical achievements and customer programmes into credible market communications.
Develop thought-leadership and executive communications.
Support major announcements, PR, conferences and industry events.
Develop content strategy across appropriate channels, including LinkedIn, without treating social media as the marketing strategy.
Conduct market and competitor research and help identify how our technology should be differentiated.
Coordinate external designers, video producers, web developers and other specialist resources where required.
You will ideally have 8+ years of experience in product marketing, strategic marketing, corporate communications or a related discipline.
Experience in aerospace is not essential.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked with sophisticated B2B technology such as AI, robotics, autonomy, SaaS, enterprise technology, industrial technology, telecommunications or other deep-tech products.
You should have:
Excellent written and spoken English.
Exceptional strategic writing and presentation skills.
Strong product positioning and value-proposition development skills.
The ability to rapidly understand unfamiliar and technically complex subjects.
Experience communicating with senior executives, customers or investors.
Strong commercial judgement and an ability to identify what matters to a customer rather than simply describe product features.
Experience developing messaging for international markets.
The confidence to challenge existing thinking and contribute strategically rather than simply execute instructions.
Experience with venture-backed or high-growth technology companies, fundraising, investor communications, defence, aerospace or government markets would be highly regarded.
We are looking for someone who asks:
Who is the customer? What problem are we solving? Why does our technology matter? What makes us different? What can we prove? And why should an investor believe this can become a significant business?
If your strength is primarily running advertising campaigns, managing social-media calendars or increasing follower numbers, this is probably not the right role.
If you enjoy understanding complex businesses and technologies and figuring out how to make sophisticated customers and investors understand why they matter, we would like to hear from you.
