Accounting Officer

About the role

The Accounting Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. This role ensures all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger entries for all branches.

• Reconcile bank statements with company records on a monthly basis to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

• Prepare, verify, and process employee expense claims while ensuring complete and proper supporting documentation.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Process vendor invoices, coordinate timely payments, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.

• Monitor branch budgets and expenditures, identify variances, and prepare financial performance reports for management.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, tax regulations, and applicable financial reporting requirements.

• Assist in preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents for internal and external audits.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Good skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

• Minimum 1 year experience in accounting

• Brevet A, B, and C certificates preferred
