Architect cum Interior Designer (Based in BRUNEI)
About the role
Highly qualified, creative, and technically proficient Architect cum Interior Designer mainly responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering architectural and interior design solutions from concept development through project completion, ensuring the highest standards of design quality, functionality, technical accuracy, compliance, budget, and timely delivery.
Key responsibilities
Develop architectural and interior design concepts, layouts, space plans, and design proposals.
Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, renderings, presentations, and construction documentation.
Design and coordinate floor plans, elevations, sections, ceilings, flooring, lighting, furniture, finishes, and joinery details.
Conduct site surveys, measurements, inspections, and project assessments.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
Review shop drawings, material samples, specifications, and site workmanship.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable building regulations, authority requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
Monitor project execution to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
Identify technical and design issues and provide effective, practical solutions.
Prepare material schedules, specifications, project documentation, and design reports.
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
Minimum 5–15 years of relevant professional experience in architectural and interior design.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering/visualization software, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of Revit/BIM and other relevant design software is highly advantageous.
Strong technical knowledge of architectural drawings, construction details, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and interior specifications.
Proven ability to translate concepts into accurate and practical technical drawings.
Strong understanding of construction processes, site coordination, and project execution.
Excellent design, visualization, presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, creativity, and quality control.
Professional portfolio demonstrating relevant completed projects is mandatory.
