PT SyAqua Indonesia is looking for an Artemia Staff to support our hatchery operations, particularly in Artemia preparation, hatching, enrichment, feeding operations, quality control, and maintaining proper biosecurity and production standards.
Prepare and measure Artemia cysts according to daily hatchery feed requirements.
Operate and monitor Artemia hatching tanks, including aeration systems, heaters, and lighting equipment.
Monitor key hatching parameters such as salinity, temperature, aeration, and hatching time.
Separate Artemia nauplii from shells using appropriate filtration and decapsulation techniques.
Perform Artemia nauplii enrichment using nutritional additives according to established hatchery protocols.
Monitor Artemia hatching percentage, nauplii activity, and density, including microscopic observation when required.
Coordinate with larval technicians to ensure Artemia availability meets daily feeding requirements.
Clean and disinfect hatching and enrichment tanks after each production cycle.
Ensure Artemia-related equipment such as aerators, air stones, filters, and lights are maintained in good working condition.
Immediately report any equipment malfunction, contamination, abnormalities, or operational issues to the supervisor.
Maintain accurate daily records of Artemia usage, hatching success rate, enrichment activities, feed output, and inventory.
Assist with monitoring and maintaining Artemia cyst and enrichment product inventory and support ordering activities when required.
Support biosecurity procedures and monitor shrimp health status through visual inspections and, when applicable, diagnostic tests.
Ensure all activities comply with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production targets and quality standards.
Educational background in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Biology, or related fields is preferred.
Previous experience in shrimp hatchery, Artemia preparation, aquaculture, or larval production is an advantage.
Basic understanding of Artemia hatching, enrichment, feeding, and hatchery operations is preferred.
Able to follow standard operating procedures and production schedules.
Good attention to detail, particularly in monitoring parameters and maintaining production records.
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsible, disciplined, proactive, and willing to learn.
