About the role

We are seeking a talented Procurement Engineer with a Civil Engineering background to join our team in South Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our engineering operations and project delivery. As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating and acquiring the materials, equipment and services essential to the successful completion of our civil and structural engineering projects. This role bridges the gap between our engineering teams and suppliers, ensuring that all procurement activities are executed efficiently, cost-effectively and in compliance with project specifications and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers and vendors for civil engineering materials and equipment

• Preparing detailed procurement specifications based on project requirements and engineering drawings

• Obtaining competitive quotations and conducting cost-benefit analyses to ensure value for money

• Coordinating the ordering, delivery and inspection of materials and equipment to ensure compliance with project timelines

• Maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes

• Collaborating with project managers and engineering teams to understand material and equipment requirements

• Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any quality or delivery issues promptly

• Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards and relevant regulations

• Supporting the preparation of tender submissions by obtaining supplier quotations, preparing material cost comparisons and compiling procurement-related documents

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture

• Proven 3-5 years experience in procurement, supply chain management or materials management within the construction or engineering sector

• Strong understanding of civil engineering materials, equipment and specifications

• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills

• Proficiency in cost estimation and budget management

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement management software

• Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards

• Fluency in English (both written and verbal)

• Preferred: Previous experience in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
