Job Summary:
The Inventory Controller plays a key role in ensuring the efficient management of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods within the manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, minimizing production delays due to material shortages, and supporting lean manufacturing principles through precise stock control and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and investigate any discrepancies between physical and system inventory.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to forecast material needs and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Maintain accurate inventory data in the Company system (e.g.,Ez Wine, Beer30, Vinsight).
• Track material usage across the production floor and reconcile against production outputs.
• Assist in planning and coordinating regular physical inventory audits.
• Generate inventory reports including usage trends, variance analysis, and stock aging.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing waste.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Management; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory modules
Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Organized and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work in a factory/warehouse environment.
