Job Summary:
The Manufacturing People Partner (MPP) executes the People Strategy at the Batam manufacturing site, partnering closely with the Manufacturing Management Team and People leaders to enable safe, effective, and engaged operations. As a trusted advisor, the MPP aligns people strategies, workforce planning, and employee relations with business priorities, global frameworks, and local labor laws—combining strategic insight with hands-on execution to drive outcomes through expertise, coaching, and collaboration.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic People Partner for Manufacturing Leadership, you partner with Manufacturing and People leaders to drive talent development, engagement, and retention. As a trusted advisor, you strengthen leadership capability, address business challenges through effective people's solutions, and guide performance and talent management in line with global frameworks and local requirements.
Workforce planning and people strategy execution, You drive workforce planning and core people processes at the site, including staffing, performance and talent management, engagement, and compensation and benefits, ensuring alignment with business needs and market competitiveness. You also advise leaders on organizational structures and position management to support production, cost efficiency, and demand variability.
Expert on employee and labor relations, You provide end‑to‑end support on employee relations matters, including absence of management, disciplinary and grievance cases, performance improvement, and investigations. You ensure fair, consistent, and timely handling aligned with labor laws, internal policies, and best practices, while engaging audits and unions as needed to drive compliant outcomes.
Culture, engagement, and change partner You promote a culture of impact with care, driving engagement, and helping leaders act on employee feedback. You support organizational changes with clear communication and strong people impact management, while ensuring alignment with policies, internal equity, and business priorities.
You're the right fit if:
You bring over 10 years of experience in People Partnering, HR Business Partnering, or similar roles, ideally within manufacturing, operational, or industrial environments, supported by a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, People Management, Change Management, or a related discipline with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in HR operations and administration, with a strong track record in applying compliance standards, internal policies, and HR procedures.
You possess deep expertise in employee and labor relations, with practical experience in interpreting and applying labor laws and internal policies.
You are skilled at coaching and influencing leaders without formal authority, confidently handling complex and sensitive people's matters with integrity and sound judgment.
You demonstrate strong business acumen combined with a hands-on approach, effectively translating strategy into practical, site-level people solutions.
You are a clear, credible communicator who builds trust with stakeholders in fast-paced, highly regulated environments and operates independently, navigate complexity and ambiguity with ease, and collaborate effectively within a global People organization.
