About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager Site to join PT. Handalan Putramas Santosa. This is a contract position based in Palembang, South Sumatra. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all site operations, ensuring efficient project execution, maintaining safety standards, and driving operational excellence. The Manager Site plays a crucial strategic role in the success of our manufacturing, transportation and logistics operations, serving as the key liaison between senior management and on-site teams.
Key responsibilities
Oversee daily site operations and ensure all activities comply with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Monitor project timelines, budgets and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Manage and supervise site personnel, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions as needed
Implement and maintain rigorous health, safety and environmental standards across all site activities
Coordinate with various departments and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution
Conduct regular site inspections and maintenance checks to ensure equipment and facilities are in optimal condition
Prepare and submit regular reports on site performance, safety metrics, productivity and budget status to senior management
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce costs
Ensure quality control measures are maintained throughout all site operations
Manage vendor and supplier relationships to optimise procurement and service delivery
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in site management, operations management or project management within the manufacturing, transportation or logistics sector
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operations and diverse teams
Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices
Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Proficiency in project management tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision making
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Experience with budget management and cost control initiatives
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required
