About the role
We are seeking a talented Finance Accounting & Tax Staff to join PT. Handalan Putramas Santosa on a contract basis. This is a pivotal position within our finance and accounting department, responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records whilst ensuring full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations. Based in Jakarta Raya, this role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the financial health and strategic decision-making of our organisation. You will work closely with our finance team to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and accounting services that support our business objectives.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger management
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with attention to detail and timeliness
Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Conducting bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies promptly
Managing tax compliance activities, including calculation and preparation of corporate income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and payroll tax obligations
Preparing tax documentation and supporting schedules required for regulatory submissions
Assisting with tax planning initiatives and identifying potential tax optimisation opportunities
Liaising with external tax authorities and auditors as needed
Maintaining organised financial records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements
Supporting the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Identifying and escalating financial discrepancies or irregularities for further investigation
What we're looking for
Min. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in accounting and tax functions, preferably within an Logistic Industry
Strong knowledge of Indonesian taxation systems, including corporate income tax, VAT, and other statutory obligations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with financial data efficiently
Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Familiarity with tax compliance software and regulatory requirements is a plus
Previous experience working on audits or with external auditors is desirable
