Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production environments.

• Monitor database health, identify issues, and perform troubleshooting.

• Perform database backup, recovery, migration, replication, and switchover/failover activities.

• Optimize database performance through monitoring, query tuning, and configuration tuning.

• Ensure database availability, integrity, and security.

• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related issues.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma (D3) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration (mandatory).

• Good understanding of backup & recovery, replication, performance tuning, and database security.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies.

• Experience with Apache Airflow.

• Basic knowledge of Oracle Database.

• Familiarity with database monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.).

• Experience with HA solutions such as Patroni, Pgpool-II, or HAProxy.
