Purchasing Supervisor

As a Purchasing Supervisor at PT Furukawa Indomobil Battery Manufacturing, you will play a vital role in supporting the production process of high-quality motor vehicle batteries that meet strict industry standards. In this full-time position located in Purwakarta, West Java, you will be responsible for sourcing the goods and services required by PT Furukawa Indomobil Battery Manufacturing to ensure high-quality product output and effective, efficient processes.

What you'll be doing

• Raw Materials & Operational Procurement: Manage the purchase of specialized battery manufacturing materials (lead/lead alloy, PP resin, battery separators, sulfuric acid) and factory supporting requirements.

• Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and audit both local and imported suppliers while maintaining strong relationships and negotiating prices, payment terms, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Efficiency Monitoring & Control: Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor delivery lead times to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

• Quality Control & Claim Management: Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team regarding material qualifications and handle return claims if defective or non-compliant technical specifications are found.

• Team Supervision & Reporting: Lead the buyer/staff team and compile monthly reports on cost savings, supplier performance, and purchasing KPI achievements.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, environmental, and safety regulations and standards

What we're looking for

1. Experience export import minimum 5 year

2. Experience purchasing in Manufacturing for handle raw material local overseas min 5 year

3. Understand material requirement planning

4. Experience negotiated with supplier

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English

6. Familiarity with quality management standards such as ISO 9001 , ISO 140001 or IATF 16949
