About the role
PT Samick Indonesia is seeking an experienced Piano Service Technician to join our partner's team in Sydney, Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional piano tuning, regulation, voicing, repair, installation, and after-sales service for both upright and grand pianos. You will work closely with customers to ensure exceptional service quality while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and representing the company with professionalism.
Key responsibilities
Perform professional tuning of upright and grand pianos.
Carry out action regulation, adjustment, and calibration.
Perform voicing and tone improvement to achieve optimal sound quality.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain acoustic pianos.
Conduct inspections and quality control of pianos.
Install pianos and provide after-sales service and technical support.
Deliver excellent customer service and technical consultation.
Maintain accurate service reports and service records.
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Piano Service Technician or Piano Technician.
Proven experience servicing both upright and grand pianos.
Strong knowledge of piano action mechanisms and acoustic piano construction.
Proficient in piano tuning, regulation, voicing, and repairs.
Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Willing to be based in Sydney, Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience servicing Yamaha, Kawai, Samick, Steinway, or other major piano brands.
Previous experience with a piano manufacturer, distributor, or authorized service center is highly regarded.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience providing on-site customer service and technical support.
