Radio Network Planner (RNP) 5G

Key responsibilities

• Design and plan 5G radio network architecture, including site selection, frequency allocation and coverage modelling

• Conduct detailed propagation studies and radio frequency (RF) simulations to optimise network performance and capacity

• Perform comprehensive network optimisation activities including drive testing, data analysis and performance tuning

• Develop and maintain network planning documentation, including design specifications, technical reports and network rollout plans

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and cost-effective network deployment and expansion

• Monitor network key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements to enhance service quality

• Evaluate new 5G technologies, equipment and solutions to support future network evolution

• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for new cell site locations

• Provide technical support and guidance to field teams during network deployment and commissioning

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for telecommunications infrastructure

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in radio network planning, with substantial experience in 4G/LTE and 5G networks

• Strong knowledge of 5G network architecture, hardware massive mimo, technologies and deployment strategies

• Proficiency with radio network planning tools and software, such as Atoll, WinProp, or equivalent platforms

• Experience with RF optimisation techniques and familiarity with key performance metrics and KPI analysis

• Solid understanding of propagation models, antenna systems and site planning principles

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex technical data

• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

• Knowledge of telecommunications regulations and standards applicable in Indonesia

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools

• Preferred: Certification in network planning or 5G technologies, experience with vendor-specific planning tools, and familiarity with network optimisation software
