JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages while providing excellent customer service. The Barista must maintain beverage quality, cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth daily café operations according to company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, tea, and other hot or cold drinks according to company standards.

2. Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, brewing equipment, and other café equipment safely and correctly.

3. Perform daily espresso preparation, including grinding, dosing, tamping, extraction, and milk steaming.

4. Maintain consistency in beverage taste, quality, portion, temperature, and presentation.

5. Prepare basic latte art when required.

6. Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, professional service.

7. Recommend beverages or menu items according to customer preferences.

8. Handle cash, POS systems, and payment transactions when assigned.

9. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, tables, and service areas.

10. Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

11. Monitor coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.

12. Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing café ingredients and supplies.

13. Perform opening and closing duties according to café procedures.

14. Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining service and beverage quality.

15. Work cooperatively with other Baristas, kitchen staff, supervisors, and management.

16. Follow all company rules, policies, procedures, and standards applicable to the workplace in Kuwait.

REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Barista is preferred.

* Good knowledge of espresso-based beverages and coffee preparation.

* Able to operate espresso machines and coffee grinders.

* Knowledge of milk steaming and basic latte art is an advantage.

* Good customer service and communication skills.

* Basic English communication skills.

* Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced café environment.

* Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and hardworking.

* Good personal grooming and hygiene.

* Able to work as part of a multicultural team.

* Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to the company schedule.
