Job Description:
Evaluation of electrical load analysis, preparation and review of documentation for line drawings, and familiarity with elect standard compliance in the oil and gas sector, particularly regarding Integrated Automation Systems (IAS). This includes testing procedures, interpretation of class rules to address review comments, and short-circuit verification.
Development of a drawing list, cable termination drawings, cable lists, cable tray sizing, breaker sizing, and control console preparation, all in accordance with the building schedule.
Integration skills are essential for coordinating among vendors of electrical power management systems, power plants, propulsion systems, IAS, and equipment suppliers, ensuring compliance with FMEA for dynamic positioning and monitoring harmonic distortion.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong computer skills are necessary, along with a solid understanding of shipbuilding and project processes. This role requires the ability to comprehend technical specifications and engage in discussions with clients regarding projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a diploma in marine engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in either shipyards or the marine electrical field.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
