Senior Merchandiser - Furniture Division (Surabaya Based)
Responsibility :
Reporting to Divisional Merchandise Manager
Following up on buyer/client request on the product development with factories/vendors. Focusing on sourcing, sample development, price evaluation, and quality to meet buyer/client standard requirements.
Collaborate with the Merchandiser (MR) as the assistant in order to communicate with client and with suppliers/vendors in regards to follow up Purchase Orders.
Communicate order details and requirements to factories and all parties concerned during development stage.
Working closely with technician and QA division to ensure they understand the buyer/client expectation. As well as to discuss any potential production problem and work with all related parties to provide solutions to both buyer/client and vendor.
Coordinate with internal departments such as Operations/Technical and QA to ensure smooth workflow for order follow up.
Accompany clients to visit vendors/ factories in their buying trips.
Assist our client in pursuing claims against vendor.
Do research and development of product for next season’s orders.
Source vendors according to clients’ requirements. Follow up vendor/ factory evaluation result.
Prepare materials and set up presentation for clients.
Requirements :
Candidate must poses at least a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Good communication skill in English is strongly required, written and spoken.
4 years Experiences in Furniture Industry
Good communication skill and good performance.
Strong competence in effective interpersonal skills, negotiation and communication.
Able to work in a team and on own initiative.
Must have self-motivation to be able to work in independent
Exceptional attention to detail.
Highly organized and ability to handle multitasking
High discipline and willing to hard work and work well under pressure.
Creative.
Willing to learn and to be trained.
Willing to travel local/abroad.
Self-discipline is strongly required.
Analytical skill, enjoy in analyzing data and using this to identify potential risks. Should be comfortable with basic Statistics.
Having good knowledge on the furniture manufacturing process is a must.
