Position Summary
The Warehouse Leader is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient material handling, timely receiving and dispatching activities, and maintaining warehouse safety and compliance standards. The role leads warehouse personnel to support production and customer delivery requirements while optimizing warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
Job Scopes
· Manage and control daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient material flow and inventory management.
· Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper storage, handling, and movement of materials and finished goods.
· Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse personnel to achieve operational and performance targets.
· Ensure timely receiving, issuing, and dispatching of materials in support of production and customer requirements.
· Enforce compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures within warehouse operations.
· Monitor warehouse performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
· Coordinate warehouse activities with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics functions.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
· Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, issuing, and shipping.
· Ensure proper material handling and storage practices are followed.
· Monitor warehouse capacity and optimize storage space utilization.
· Ensure material availability to support production schedules.
2. Inventory Control
· Maintain inventory accuracy in the ERP/WMS system.
· Monitor all inventory transactions and ensure timely system updates.
· Conduct cycle counts and support periodic physical stock counts.
· Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
· Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) principles are consistently applied.
3. Receiving and Material Issuance
· Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and receiving documents.
· Ensure accurate and timely receiving transactions.
· Supervise material issuance to production and other departments.
· Coordinate material transfers and stock replenishment activities.
4. Safety, Quality, and Compliance
· Ensure compliance with company safety regulations and warehouse procedures.
· Maintain housekeeping standards through 5S implementation.
· Identify and report safety hazards and incidents.
· Support internal and external audits.
· Ensure compliance with ISO, quality, and environmental management requirements.
5. Reporting and Administration
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse operational reports.
· Monitor warehouse KPIs and analyze performance trends.
· Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and records.
· Report operational issues and recommend improvement initiatives.
Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
· Minimum 1–2 years of warehouse experience
· Experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory/preferred.
· Familiarity with manufacturing or bonded zone operations (Kawasan Berikat) is an advantage.
Technical Skills
· Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
· Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
· Understanding of FIFO, cycle counting, stock control, and warehouse KPIs.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
· Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and 5S implementation.
