This role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Health, Safety, and Mining Safety Management System (SMKP) to ensure regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and a strong safety culture across all mining and construction activities.
Some of your duties will include:
Lead and oversee the implementation of the company's Health, Safety, and Mining Safety Management System (SMKP) across all operational areas.
Develop and execute strategic HSE plans, objectives, and annual programs aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Provide leadership and technical guidance to Safety Superintendents, Coordinators, and contractor HSE teams.
Monitor and evaluate HSE performance through audits, inspections, KPIs, and corrective action programs.
Lead high-potential incident and major accident investigations, ensuring effective root cause analysis and preventive actions.
Drive enterprise risk management initiatives, including critical risk management, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Contractors to integrate HSE into operational planning and execution.
Review and improve emergency preparedness, crisis management, and business continuity plans.
Ensure timely submission of internal and statutory HSE reports to management and government authorities.
Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership engagement, coaching, competency development, and safety communication programs.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HSE performance and organizational capability.
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant Engineering disciplines.
Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in mining, EPC, or heavy industry, including at least 3 years in a Superintendent or equivalent leadership role.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian Mining Safety Regulations (Kepmen ESDM), SMKP, and ISO 45001 requirements.
Certified in Mining Safety Management System (SMKP); Lead Auditor certification for SMKP and/or ISO 45001 is highly preferred.
Proven experience leading HSE teams in mining construction and operational environments.
Strong competency in incident investigation, critical risk management, emergency response, and contractor safety management.
Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and people development skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting systems.
