We are a Holding Company seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to support our Mining, Mineral Trading businesses. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement, vendor management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company policies and operational requirements.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Vendor Management, preferably in mining and shipping.
Proven experience in sourcing and managing vendors for mining operations, vessel operations, marine services, heavy equipment, spare parts, fuel, logistics, or supporting services.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor evaluation, tender management, and contract negotiation.
Extensive network of vendors and suppliers within the mining and/or shipping industry is highly preferred.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with a cost-conscious mindset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Accurate.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Job Scope:
Identify, source, and develop potential vendors/suppliers to support operational requirements in mining and shipping activities.
Conduct market research and vendor assessments to obtain competitive pricing, quality products/services, and reliable delivery performance.
Build and maintain a qualified vendor database, including vendor performance monitoring and evaluation.
Coordinate with vendors/suppliers regarding order placement, delivery schedules, and fulfillment of requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment of operational needs.
Monitor contract execution and vendor compliance with agreed specifications, delivery schedules, and contractual obligations.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers within the mining and shipping industries.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and industry best practices.
