About the role
Central Auto is seeking a dedicated Staf Purchasing/Sourcing to join our dynamic procurement team. This is a full-time position based in Surabaya, Jawa Timur. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our purchasing operations, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and components essential to our manufacturing and logistics operations. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to optimise our supply chain and contribute to the company's operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
Source and identify potential suppliers for materials, components, and services required by the organisation
Prepare detailed requests for quotations (RFQs) and analyse supplier proposals to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards
Negotiate purchase agreements, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value and service levels
Process purchase orders and maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions
Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality compliance, and service standards
Maintain and update the supplier database, including contact information, pricing, and performance metrics
Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels and efficient material management
Support the resolution of procurement-related issues, including discrepancies, delays, and quality concerns
Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
Prepare procurement reports and analysis to support decision-making by senior management
What we're looking for
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
Proven experience (2-4 years) in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or automotive environment
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, and familiarity with procurement management systems
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Understanding of automotive components and manufacturing requirements is highly desirable
Fluency in Indonesian and English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or other languages is a plus
Demonstrated commitment to building and maintaining professional supplier relationships
