About the role
Yayasan Surya Didik Bangsa is seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior High (SMP) Mathematics Teacher to join our talented team in Medan, North Sumatra. As a full-time Mathematics Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of our students, fostering their love for the subject and helping them reach their full potential.
What you'll be doing
Delivering engaging and interactive mathematics lessons to students in grades 7-9
Developing and implementing effective lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students
Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to support their learning
Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to curriculum development, and ensure a consistent approach to teaching and learning
Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your teaching skills and stay up-to-date with the latest educational practices
Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to explore, question, and thrive
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field, with a strong background in teaching
Previous experience as a Mathematics teacher in a secondary school setting, preferably in Indonesia
Experience in training Mathematics Olympic is a must
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Passion for education and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Fluency in English
