Purchasing Staff

Job Description

• Identifying and selecting suitable suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, monitoring their performance, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services

• Analyzing costs, negotiating favorable terms, and identifying opportunities for cost savings

• Tracking stock levels, ensuring adequate supply, and managing inventory within agreed upon budgets

• Ensuring purchased goods and services meet the organization's quality standards

• Adhering to procurement policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records

• Preparing reports on purchasing activities, costs, and inventory levels

• Conducting supplier audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement, developing and implementing corrective action plans, and monitoring supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree - Mechanical/Industrial Engineering

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Knowledge of procurement principles and best practices

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements

• Experience dealing with spare parts suppliers, construction, mechanics, and electrical
