About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at Belalu Bali Boutique & SPA experience (www.belalubali.com) in the vibrant town of Ubud, Bali. As our Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation and execution of delectable culinary offerings that showcase the best of Balinese and international cuisine. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our discerning guests.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop creative and innovative menu items that highlight local, seasonal ingredients

2. Oversee and direct the kitchen team to ensure the consistent preparation and presentation of all dishes

3. Ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and sanitation are maintained in the kitchen

4. Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events and promotions

5. Monitor inventory, place orders and manage food costs to maximise profitability

6. Foster a positive, productive and collaborative work environment in the kitchen

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Chef in a high-end restaurant, hotel or resort setting

2. Strong background in Balinese and international cuisine, with the ability to create visually stunning and flavourful dishes

3. Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving skills

4. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing and motivating kitchen staff

5. Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating unique culinary experiences

6. Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
