DescriptionThis role involves supporting food product development from a technical perspective, working closely with customers, and maintaining strong relationships while supporting business and market development activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and organize structured business visit plans to collect data and conduct field trials related to products, applications, or principals in accordance with company regulations.
- Implement agreed business models and support product/application development through market surveys, data updates (DEFU), trial evaluation and feedback, progress reporting to customers and internal teams, and preparation of marketing tools to support sales activities.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers to enhance company profitability by addressing customer needs, driving improvements, and providing input for product/application/principal development in line with company standards.
- Ensure development-related expenses are managed effectively and efficiently within the approved budget.
- Communicate and coordinate with principals/suppliers for new product development and application initiatives.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities in workflow processes to enhance operational effectiveness and distribution channel efficiency in line with departmental targets.
- Implement, monitor, and report the company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE/SMK3L) programs, and carry out additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support departmental and company performance objectives.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the food industry (R&D, product development, or related roles)
- Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working with customers
- Able to maintain and develop good customer relationships
- Willing to travel for business, including overseas trips
