Fire Safety Officer

About the role

As the Fire Safety Officer at PT. Huaneng New Material, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the company's operations in Weda, North Maluku. This full-time position is responsible for assisting the HSE Department in implementing and overseeing fire prevention and emergency response measures, ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety are upheld.

What you'll be doing

• Equipment monitor and operation: Monitor the state in service of fire control equipment (such as fire alarm system, automatic fire extinguishing system), and deal with the abnormal situation in time. Be skilled in operating fire fighting facilities, maintaining and recording regular maintenance.

• Fire emergency response: Upon receiving the alarm, quickly confirm the fire, initiate the emergency plan, notify the evacuation and call the police. Jointly activate fire pumps, smoke prevention and other equipment to assist in fire rescue.

• Safety inspection and hazard investigation: inspect fire exits and facilities (extinguishers, fire hydrants) to ensure their integrity and safety. When a hazard is discovered, promptly notify the rectification and follow up.

• Hours of duty and records: 24 hours of duty (12 hours Shift Work), and communication shall be maintained. Keep detailed records of equipment operation, alarm disposal, etc.

• Collaborate with the Health, Safety and Environment team to identify and mitigate potential fire risks

What we're looking for

• Preferably Diploma or higher in safety engineering, environmental engineering or chemical engineering;

• At least have an AK3U certificate & class D firefighter certificate

• 1 years or more experience in fire safety related work;

• Have experience in Indonesia K3L certification or international system certification;

• Familiar with office software, familiar with Indonesian security standards, and able to write reports.
