Legal Supervisor

Role Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all company operations comply with applicable laws and regulations, with strong emphasis on nickel mining regulatory frameworks.

2. Conduct comprehensive legal risk assessments related to nickel mining activities, including exploration, production, logistics, and sales.

3. Provide strategic and commercially sound legal advice to management, particularly on matters related to mining operations and regulatory compliance.

4. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (mining services, contractors, suppliers, offtake, and joint operations) to minimize legal exposure.

5. Oversee mining-related licenses and permits (IUP, RKAB, environmental approvals, and other regulatory requirements) to ensure full compliance and timely reporting.

6. Handle disputes arising from mining operations, including land issues, contractor disputes, regulatory matters, litigation, and arbitration in coordination with external counsel.

7. Lead and supervise the legal team, ensuring proper documentation, contract management, and regulatory monitoring specific to nickel mining activities.

8. Maintain strong coordination with regulators, local authorities, notaries, and external legal advisors within the mining sector.

9. Support the implementation of internal legal policies aligned with governance, compliance, and mining industry standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Law; Master’s Degree is an advantage.

2. Minimum 5 years of legal experience specifically in nickel mining companies (mandatory).

3. Proven hands-on experience handling mining licenses (IUP, RKAB, AMDAL), regulatory compliance, land acquisition, and mining operational agreements.

4. Strong understanding of Indonesian mining law, corporate law, environmental law, and investment regulations.

5. Experienced in dealing with government institutions and mining regulators at regional and central levels.

6. Strong background in contract drafting and negotiation related to EPC, contractor, hauling, and offtake agreements.

7. PKPA/UPA certification is preferred.

8. Strong leadership experience in managing a legal team.

9. Excellent analytical thinking, risk assessment capability, and problem-solving skills.

10. High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to work under pressure.

11. Fluent in English, both written and spoken, is an advantage.
