Chung Chung School, an IB Candidate School, is seeking passionate and experienced MYP Bible Teacher & Counselor, to join our dynamic team. We are committed to fostering an inquiry-based, student-centered learning environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, reflection, and spiritual growth in alignment with the IB PYP framework.
- Connect biblical teachings to students’ daily lives and real-world applications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Christ values into transdisciplinary units of inquiry.
- Foster a caring and inclusive learning environment that respects different perspectives.
- Engage students in prayer, worship, and discussions to deepen their faith.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school community to support students’ spiritual development.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives that align with the school’s mission and values.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and cognitive development through differentiated instruction.
- Use formative and summative assessment strategies to guide instruction and support student growth.
- Promote international-mindedness and inspire students to take meaningful action in their learning journey.
- Counsel for both parent and student
- Support Parent Fellowship, Student Chapel, and other school events
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field (master’s preferred)
• Valid teaching certification/license
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in related field preferably in a MYP setting
• Strong biblical knowledge and ability to integrate Christ values into learning experiences.
• Strong understanding of child development and inquiry-based learning.
• Passion for mentoring students in their faith journey and fostering Christ-like character
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for nurturing a love of learning and supporting each child's growth.
• Creative thinking and the ability to design engaging learning experiences.
• Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others in a positive and cooperative setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using educational technologies/platforms.
• Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
