At UNOPS, interns join the teams as equal members and are offered a good mix of support work and independent assignments with substantial responsibility.
Programme Management intern shall report to the Project Manager, who provides general guidance and supervision in programme preparation, and for managing all stages of the programme to achieve results.
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the intern will be assigned the following tasks aimed at increasing project management capacity.
Conduct research and analyze information on projects and partners.
Support the Project Team with monitoring and updating project and procurement plans, coordinating the quarterly and monthly assurance tasks, as well as improving the project management compliance.
Assist the Project Team with project implementation, preparing project management documents and communication materials.
Support the Project Team in providing routine oversight and analysis of projects’ financial and procurement data within the available dashboards, working on oneUNOPS and internal monitoring tools available.
Provide support in the preparation of narrative and financial reports.
Support the daily communication with projects’ stakeholders and all parties involved;
Assist in coordinating knowledge-sharing sessions, as required, to prepare learning materials, presentation slides etc.
Perform admin & secretarial duties by taking meeting minutes during project management meetings; and
Support the preparation of briefing materials ahead of meetings between UNOPS and partners.

Required:
Minimum First level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) is required, preferably in Environmental Policy, International Affairs, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering background, or other relevant fields.
Must be enrolled in a university programme such as Master's or Ph.D. (or the equivalent) or have graduated from such studies within three (3) years prior to the application date of the internship.

Some professional experience in the field of Environmental Policy, Sustainable Development, Climate Mitigation, International development, Project Management, Administration, Procurement, Operations, Human Resources, or any other relevant field is desirable.
Skilled in combining financial and technical information into clear reports, ensuring all data is consistent, document versions are organized, and all attachments follow the required format.
Strong computer literacy in Google standard programs, particularly proficiency in using G-Doc, G-sheet, G-slides, G-module, or similar tools such as Canva is desirable.
Ability to work in an international/multicultural environment.
