Logistic Superintendent
About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced Logistic Superintendent to join our team at China Gezhouba Group Corporation' in Bandung, West Java. As a full-time Logistic Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in supports the EPC Contractor’s procurement and logistics activities, with a particular focus on import coordination, customs clearance, transportation monitoring, and contractor interface management.
This position requires close coordination with suppliers, port authorities, logistics contractors, and the client to ensure the smooth delivery and handling of project materials in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
What you'll be doing
Procurement and Logistics Coordination.
Assist in executing procurement activities in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
Coordinate with vendors and freight forwarders for import documentation, shipment tracking, and customs clearance.
Monitor the discharge and handling of equipment at port and ensure compliance with project unloading plans.
Support the management of the temporary storage yard and monitor the condition and movement of materials.
Coordinate the transportation of equipment from port or warehouse to project site, ensuring proper handling and delivery schedules.
Documentation and Compliance:
Prepare and review import-related documentation (Invoice, Packing List, B/L, COO, COA, Form D, etc.).
Liaise with Customs, Port Authorities, and Surveyors to facilitate import clearance and compliance with local regulations.
Maintain all procurement and logistics records as per audit and client requirements.
Contractor and Client Interface:
Support the management of subcontractors involved in logistics and transportation.
Interface with the Client’s logistics and procurement teams to ensure alignment and timely communication.
Report any logistics or delivery issues and assist in developing corrective actions.
Operational Support
Be willing to stay at the port or discharge area as required during unloading or customs clearance operations.
Ensure adherence to HSE standards during all material handling and logistics activities.
Support internal coordination between Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, and Site Management teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in logistics or procurement, preferably in EPC or renewable energy projects.
Proven experience in import procedures, customs clearance, and port operations.
Knowledge of storage and handling standards for electrical and mechanical equipment.
Experience with contractor management and transportation coordination.
Familiar with Indonesian import regulations and documentation processes.
Good command of English (spoken and written).
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an advantage.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Proactive problem-solving and attention to detail.
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel between port and project sites as required.
High sense of responsibility and teamwork in multicultural environments.
Work Conditions
Based at project site and/or port during unloading and customs operations.
Regular coordination with head office, subcontractors, and client representatives.
May require shift or weekend work depending on vessel schedules.
