Responsibilities/Accountability
Drive initiatives to ensure that the businesses deliver capital efficiency and sustainable revenue generation with healthy margin growth and Operating Cash flow, through close partnership with GMs and other functional leaders
Business partnering with respective country stakeholders to provide data-driven insight for country stakeholders to facilitates better decision making
Lead the budgeting, forecasting process, and monthly financial performance analysis
Review and analyze business data, identify gaps and evaluates to enable achievement of targets according to each strategic needs.
Responsible for the country’s financial and accounting operations, ensure reporting requirements at Statutory and Group levels are met.
Conduct regular Balance Sheet reviews and implement mitigation actions to manage financial and business risks
Build a strong and high-performance team to efficiently manage all finance operations while ensuring strong and transparent communication with Country GM, Functional and Division stakeholders.
Lead a cross countries finance team, ensuring proper organization design and casting in accordance with the business environment of the country.
Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment and risk mitigation framework, ensure the processes and policies implemented are aligned with ASSA ABLOY policies and guidelines, and local regulations.
Managing and overseeing the taxation, corporate secretary affairs of the organisation and liaising with the external firm for specialist advice. Ensure tax compliance.
Managing the External Audit and ensuring the organisation is compliant with accounting standards and statutory financial statements are timely issued and filed.
Support Management team in the evaluation of acquisition and business development opportunities
Undertake any ad hoc projects and tasks as and when required by local and regional stakeholders including ERP infrastructure upgrades and parent reporting platform transitions.
Create an inspiring team environment with collaboration through setting clear goals and objectives. Develop finance team through active coaching, constructive feedback and strong people leadership skills.
Cultivate strong working relationships within GCSEA Finance and all relevant regional within the Group
Skills required:
Strong commercial and business acumen in the building materials industry
Proactive, Self-motivated, independent with good interpersonal skills
Exceptional communication and presentation skiils with proven track record in building partnerships with business stakeholders
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Microsoft AX
Familiar with International Financial Reporting Standards, local accounting and taxation regulations.
Demonstrated success in a project leadership role, with the strong ability to influence key stakeholders
Strong in all learning agilities (mental, people, change and results), with strong self-awareness and ability to deal with ambiguity and fast-changing environment.
High level of Ethics, Compliance and Fiduciary mindset with an attitude for collaboration and inclusivity
Fluent in English
Qualification Criteria:
CA - Preferred. Else CFA / MBA – Finance after accounting major.
5 to 8 years’ relevant experience in Business / Finance controlling and working closely with business
