We are looking for a Product Development Staff (Export Market) to support the development and improvement of our products for international markets. This role ensures product compliance with target country regulations, optimizes costs, supports new product development, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance formulations.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Innovation: identify consumer needs and trends, and generating ideas for new products or improvements
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that products meet safety regulations and labeling requirements with international food regulations based on the requirements of export destination countries (e.g., USFDA, CFIA, EFSA, SFA, JAS).
Working closely with marketing, quality assurance, and production teams to align product development with company goals and capabilities.
Monitoring product (quality) performance, gathering feedback for improvements.
Support teams in preparing documentation for NPD (New Product Development), including MD, HALAL certifications (MUI, JAKIM, MUIS, etc.) and other country-specific approvals.
Create and maintain product specifications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Experience in product development, technical services, or R&D in the FMCG/Food Manufacturing industry (preferably instant noodles).
Strong knowledge of international food regulations (e.g., FDA, CFIA, EFSA, SFA, JAS) and HALAL certification processes.
Experience in ERP systems for BOM creation and product formulation is a plus.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple teams and regions.
Willingness to travel overseas as needed for product development support and regulatory coordination.
