Operations Manager (Gold Mining)
About the role
Silicon Gold Pte Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager (Gold Mining) to join their team in the vicinity of Sumbawa Besar, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This is a full-time position that will see you reporting into our Site Director. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing all mining operations and driving continued growth and efficiency within our fast-growing organisation.
What you'll be doing
Manage and oversee all aspects of the gold mining operation, including production, maintenance, health and safety, and environmental compliance
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration across the organisation
Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Foster a positive, safety-focused work culture and provide leadership and guidance to the mining team
What we're looking for
A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a senior operations role within the mining industry (preferably in gold mining)
Strong technical expertise in mining operations, including knowledge of mining equipment, processes, and technologies (preferably in gold mining)
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and teams
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
Proven track record of driving operational improvements and achieving key performance targets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels
Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia, with higher levels of English proficiency preferred; Malaysians with fluency in Bahasa Melayu can be considered.
