To establish, implement, maintain and continuously improve the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS in accordance with CASR Part 119, DGCA and ICAO requirements.
To ensure the Company’s continuing compliance with all applicable DGCA, CASR and ICAO regulatory requirements.
To act as the Company focal point for all matters relating to regulatory oversight, audits and inspections.
To establish and maintain processes for hazard identification, safety risk assessment and risk mitigation.
To plan and conduct internal audits, inspections and compliance monitoring across all operational areas, including flight operations, maintenance and training.
To monitor, track and ensure effective closure of corrective and preventive actions.
To lead and manage investigations into safety and quality occurrences and incidents.
To establish and maintain systems for safety data collection, analysis and trending.
To prepare and submit safety and quality performance reports to the Accountable Manager and senior management.
To promote and maintain an effective safety culture and Just Culture within the organisation.
To develop and deliver safety, quality and SMS related training.
To establish, maintain and control safety and quality documentation, including manuals, policies and procedures.
To establish, maintain and manage the Company Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
Formal training in Safety Management Systems and Quality Management Systems within an aviation environment.
Formal training in accident and incident investigation.
Demonstrable knowledge of Emergency Response Planning.
Knowledge of HSE regulations will be considered an advantage.
Demonstrable experience in aviation safety management, quality assurance or operational management.
Previous operational experience as flight crew, maintenance engineer or cabin crew will be considered an advantage.
Demonstrable knowledge of CASR, DGCA regulatory framework and ICAO Annexes and Doc 9859.
Demonstrable knowledge of safety risk management and compliance monitoring systems.
Experience with Air Maestro will be considered a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of IOGP 690 Recommended Practices will be considered an advantage.
