What you'll be doing
Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to source high-quality materials and services at competitive prices
Managing the end-to-end import process, including customs clearance, logistics, and inventory management
Negotiating and securing favourable terms with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
Analysing market trends, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business goals and priorities
Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies governing procurement and import operations
Providing leadership, mentoring, and training to the procurement team to enhance their capabilities
What we're looking for
5+ years of proven experience in procurement and import management, preferably in the project and construction.
Extensive knowledge of import regulations, customs clearance procedures, and logistics management
Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure favourable terms and build long-term supplier relationships
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
Proficient in using procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
A strategic mindset with the ability to align procurement activities with the company's broader business objectives
