We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement professional to join our organization as Executive Assistant Director (EAD) – Procurement. This role is critical in managing the sourcing of niche and specialty chemical materials used in consumer goods industries, including flavour, fragrance, food ingredients, personal care, and related sectors.
The ideal candidate is fast-moving, detail-oriented, and commercially sharp, with strong exposure to overseas suppliers and global procurement dynamics.
Lead and manage strategic procurement activities for specialty and niche chemical materials.
Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with international suppliers across Asia, Europe, and other regions.
Ensure timely availability of materials in accordance with production schedules, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct pricing analysis, cost benchmarking, and market trend monitoring for chemical raw materials.
Work closely with R&D, QA/QC, Production, and Finance teams to align specifications, quality, and cost efficiency.
Handle purchase contracts, international shipments, lead times, and import-related coordination.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in procurement, with mandatory exposure to chemical or specialty materials.
Strong understanding of chemical raw materials used in consumer goods industries (flavour, fragrance, food, personal care, etc.).
Proven experience in international sourcing and overseas supplier transactions.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Mandarin proficiency (spoken and written) is a strong advantage, particularly for China-based suppliers.
Proficiency in English is required
Proactive, responsive, and able to operate with a high sense of urgency.
Firm yet diplomatic in supplier negotiations.
Strong ownership mindset and business acumen.
