Senior Cost Controller (Mining & Logistics)

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance or related fields.

• Fluent in English with at least 3 years of experience in a multinational / international environment.

• Experience: 5+ years in Cost Accounting within Logistic, Mining, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Construction.

• Skills & Expertise:

  • ERP cost center management.

  • Advanced Excel (Power Query / BI).

  • Fuel, consumables, and inventory reconciliation.

  • Asset lifecycle costing / TCO analysis.

  • Variance analysis and operational reporting.

  • Understanding of mining production cycles (Overburden removal vs. coal/mineral extraction).

Responsibilites

• Unit Cost Analysis: Monitor daily/weekly cost per BCM (mining) and per KM (logistics).

• Fuel & Consumables Management: Control fuel, explosives, and spare parts through strict reconciliation processes.

• Asset Lifecycle Costing: Track Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for heavy equipment, balancing maintenance costs against uptime.

• Variance Reporting: Identify and explain cost overruns or inefficiencies versus approved budgets.

• Inventory Oversight: Conduct regular stocktakes of spare parts and tires at site warehouses.
