About the role
We are seeking a talented Taxation & Finance Staff to join our growing team at PT Philhua Shipping Agency in North Jakarta, Jakarta. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting, accounting, and analysis to support the company's strategic decision-making. What you'll be doing
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Perform cost accounting and analysis to support business decisions
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations
Participate in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes
Provide support for audits and other financial inquiries
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in the shipping or logistics industry
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, standards, and practices
Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in the finance and accounting domains
