KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement conservation programs aimed at maintaining biodiversity and natural habitats in line with carbon project goals.
Managing conservation teams and establishing partnerships with stakeholders, especially in forest areas and concession areas
Ensure conservation efforts contribute to carbon sequestration objectives, track biodiversity indicators, and report environmental impacts.
Ensure adherence to national and international conservation laws, as well as carbon project standards such as VCS, CCB, and other relevant frameworks.
Conduct ecological surveys, species assessments, and habitat monitoring to inform conservation planning.
Using analytical thinking and mastering tools to ensure conservation programs run efficiently
Provide guidance and training to project teams, community members, and partners on biodiversity conservation practices.
Create and report program evaluations periodically.
Ensure the sustainability and positive impact of conservation programs on local communities.
Knowledge of international conservation standards (e.g., CCB, VCS, REDD+).
QUALIFICATION
Minimum Bachelor Degree of Forestry/ Biology / Environmental Engineering or related field
Minimum 8 years in a similar position with experience in conservation, research, or management, preferably in the forestry or natural resource management sector.
A strong understanding of ecological principles and biodiversity assessment methods
Experience designing and implementing biodiversity monitoring programs and protecting forests from fire and illegal activities
Knowledge of relevant local and international environmental regulations and permits
Having experience working with indigenous communities, conservation-based programs, or sustainable development.
Proficient in active English (oral and written).
Strong leadership skills, communication skills, proactivity, initiative, analytical thinking, and teamwork.
