Senior Video Editor

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced video editor who can bring out emotion, pacing, and storytelling across short-form interview videos, leadership content, team interviews, and trend-based reels for social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

• Edit sit-down interview videos ranging from light-hearted to more serious tones, ensuring natural pacing and emotional flow.

• Edit leadership and founder videos with a professional, polished, and confident style.

• Edit team interview videos with engaging tempo and clear dynamics.

• Edit fun and trend-based reels with strong hooks, timing, and visual impact.

• Create subtitles with proper timing, emphasis, and readability suitable for social media.

• Apply colour correction and grading appropriate to different content styles.

• Select and edit background music to match mood, tempo, and narrative.

• Use motion graphics, text animation, and transitions where appropriate using After Effects.

• Incorporate feedback efficiently and deliver edits within agreed timelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience in short-form and social media video editing.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

• Good sense of storytelling, pacing, music selection, and visual rhythm.

• Ability to adapt editing styles across serious, conversational, and fun content.

• Experience creating dynamic subtitles for social media videos.

• Understanding of Mandarin is an advantage for subtitle. (Not a must)

• Able to work independently in a remote setup and manage multiple projects.

• A portfolio showcasing relevant short-form or reel-based editing work is required.
