Job Description

We are a mining company producing Garnet Sand for industrial and export markets. Our mining operation in Ambon is currently at a critical stage due to pending mining and export permits. We are seeking an experienced Geologist / Mining Permit Specialist who holds an active KTT (Kepala Teknik Tambang) certification to take full ownership of regulatory compliance and permitting activities.

This role is critical to unlocking operations, ensuring full compliance with Indonesian mining regulations, and enabling production and export readiness.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the official KTT (Kepala Teknik Tambang) in accordance with Indonesian mining regulations.
- Prepare, submit, and manage RKAB (Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Biaya).
- Handle and coordinate all mining permits and compliance requirements, including:
1. IUP-related obligations
2. Technical mining reports
3. Supporting geological, production, and operational data
4. Liaise with relevant government authorities (ESDM, local mining offices, and related agencies).
5. Ensure compliance with Good Mining Practice (GMP) standards.
6. Support documentation required for export readiness of garnet sand.
7. Provide geological and technical input related to garnet sand mining operations.
8. Coordinate with internal management and external consultants as required.
9. Monitor and advise management on regulatory changes related to mining and export policies.

Mandatory Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- Active and valid KTT (Kepala Teknik Tambang) certification – mandatory.
- Proven experience handling RKAB and Indonesian mining permits.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian mining regulations and compliance processes.
- Experience coordinating directly with government institutions (ESDM and local authorities).
- Willing to be based in Ambon, Maluku.
- Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in non-metal / industrial mineral mining (garnet preferred).
- Prior experience resolving permit delays or stalled mining projects.
- Existing network with mining regulators.
- Experience supporting export-oriented mining operations.
