Sushi Chef – Japanese Delivery Restaurant (Bali)

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations of our new Japanese delivery restaurant in Bali. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary aspects of the business and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality Japanese cuisine to our customers. This is a full-time position based in our Bali location.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance, training and support to maintain high standards

• Develop and refine the menu, creating innovative Japanese dishes that showcase your culinary expertise

• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations in the kitchen

• Monitor food costs and inventory, making adjustments to improve profitability

• Collaborate with the management team to enhance the customer experience

• Drive continuous improvement in kitchen operations and efficiency

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-quality Japanese restaurant or cuisine-focused establishment

• Thorough knowledge of Japanese culinary techniques, flavours and presentation

• Proven track record of leading and developing a kitchen team to deliver exceptional results

• Strong organisational and time management skills to juggle multiple priorities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the team and customers

• Passion for creating visually appealing and delicious Japanese dishes
