The Purchasing Manager is responsible for planning, controlling, and optimizing all procurement activities at the Head Office level. This role plays a strategic part in ensuring that purchasing processes are efficient, compliant with SOPs, transparent, and cost-effective, while supporting cross-department and project-based operational needs.
Develop, implement, and ensure full compliance with Purchasing SOPs in line with best practices of large-scale organizations.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including PR, RFQ/RFP, vendor evaluation, price negotiation, PO issuance, and delivery monitoring.
Lead, manage, and develop the purchasing team to achieve defined KPIs, SLAs, and compliance standards.
Conduct strategic negotiations with vendors and suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and commercial terms.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive vendor database, including vendor performance evaluation and strategic supplier development.
Coordinate closely with Finance, Legal, and User Departments on contracts, payments, and regulatory compliance.
Control procurement costs (cost control and cost savings) and prepare periodic purchasing reports for the Purchasing Director.
Ensure all purchasing activities are properly documented and audit-ready for both internal and external audits.
Support the Purchasing Director in developing procurement policies, strategies, and continuous process improvements.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in a large-scale company in Indonesia (multinational or group companies are highly preferred).
Strong expertise in:
Purchasing SOPs
Procurement governance and compliance
Vendor management and negotiation
Proven experience handling large-scale and multi-department procurement activities.
Solid understanding of basic contracts, payment terms, and coordination with Finance and Legal teams.
Strong analytical skills, leadership capability, and effective communication skills.
Able to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and deliver results.
Experience with ERP systems and/or e-Procurement platforms is a strong advantage.
Willing to work full-time at the Head Office in Jakarta.
